In short, the sailing season in the Caribbean is in full swing.
In first place is the luxurious 454-foot yacht “Rising Sun”, owned by American David Geffen, creator of the Geffen Records label. The ship is currently anchored off St Barts.
Coming in second and third are the 384-foot “Infinity” and the 378-foot “Ahpo” of Canadian-Jamaican billionaire Michael Lee-Chin, who recently arrived in St. Kitts.
On the other side of the world, in the Maldives, the number of luxury yachts has also increased dramatically.
These are, first of all, the 290-foot “Lauren L” and the 237-foot yacht of one of the richest Russians called “Cloudbreak”.
Bloomberg, by the way, complains that many Russian superyachts this year are taking refuge in the bays of the Mediterranean Sea in Turkey and this worries Washington.
Boat International previously reported that 600 superyachts were sold this year for a total of 3.6 billion euros.
