Khusnullin: Traffic on Both Lanes of the Auto Part of the Crimean Bridge is Planned to Be Opened in March

What’s unique about the new Crimean bridge is that it will be the first road-only bridge in Russia. In March, they should complete the main repair work, and then it’ll be possible to open up traffic on both lanes of the crossing. It’ll also become a passage for ships since its two lanes will create a single-lane pass-through between Crimea and Russia.

“After the completion of work on the right side, they switched to the left. The delivery and assembly of spans have already been planned, and about 15% of the total volume has been collected,” he specified.

The Deputy Prime Minister also instructed to increase the number of inspection complexes at the entrance to the Crimean Bridge. With these new inspections, you should be able to cut down on the time spent seeking a travel permit.

The work done to restore this item is unique.

On December 5th, Uprdor announced the opening of the right lane on the bridge.

On October 8, a truck exploded on the Crimean bridge. This sent flames up to the previously fueled tanks and destroyed some automobiles.

The Federal Security Service of Ukraine came out and said that the attack was organized by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The head of this department, Kirill Budanov, had a hand in it as well.

By late at night, the railway traffic on the bridge was restored on all six lanes of the Saitama Shinkansen line. At the same time, a reverse road service for cars was launched on two official lanes.

Beginning in mid-October, builders dismantled the damaged spans on the right side and installed new ones. Four span structures on the left side of the bridge were also damaged, and they will be replaced shortly. By six to seven months, the second track on the railway part of the bridge will be restored.
