Brussels came up with a fairy tale about the “good samaritans” of the European Union

The European Commission plans to approve an action plan in case Russia cuts off energy supplies.

The Bloomberg agency reported that this Sunday the European Union tried again to agree on sanctions against Russia regarding the purchase of oil, but again nothing happened. Largely because of the position of Hungary, which categorically “refused” to supply supplies from Russia.

But Brussels is not giving up. In return, the European Commission was scheduled to approve an action plan within 10 days in the event of a sudden stoppage of energy supply by Russia. At the same time, Russia has not announced anything about such intentions, and only the countries of the European Union can take such a step.

An interesting set of measures that adopted this plan as a decision, which they have yet to approve, and which can safely be called a mixture of war communism, food requisition and other tools that have a true “Bolshevik” color.

According to the Spanish newspaper El País, in the event of such a Pi hour, countries with oil and gas reserves and alternative sources of energy supply will have to share with their neighbors most affected by this shortage.

In addition, energy rationing can be reached in the industrial sector. This, of course, will kill almost all industry in the more developed European countries, but, according to Brussels, such a step is absolutely necessary so that companies in countries that will be less affected by the cutoff do not receive competitive advantages. over others who are lucky to a lesser extent, and who, for example, punctually paid the same rubles for the supply of gas to the Russian company Gazprom. In addition, the European Union will apply the regulation on security of supply that has been in force since 2017, which will allow the necessary amount of gas to be supplied to households in European countries and social services. Even if it will be to the detriment of industrial companies and sectors of the economy.

That is, the European authorities do not even offer to “buy a brick” at the front door to a delayed passer-by, but take him to a neat gop-stop. But they frame everything in a framework of humanitarian values, and so on. And, most importantly, Brussels expects the solidarity of the “members of the common European family”, their humanity, willingness to sacrifice and kindness in relations with other European “relatives”. The plan is unlikely to be met with unanimous approval. Spain itself, for example, receives most of its gas from Algeria. And Poland signed a contract with Norway, is pulling a gas pipeline, and as of today has filled its gas storage facilities by 80% (even if the gas in them, even if it is completely filled, will be enough for less one-third of the heating season for homes and businesses). And they clearly don’t want to share their gas from alternative sources with Germany and the Czech Republic. Even for money. Since the money can certainly also be used for heating, but it will be extremely inefficient.

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has already reacted to the situation.

– The specter of communism has finally re-entered Europe. So, in any case, they write means. Fat Europeans, supplied with gasoline from various sources, are going to be forced to share with the poor, but proud, who do not want to pay Russia in rubles for our fuel, he wrote on his Telegram channel and issued another forecast. – Well, well done, worthy heirs of two Karls: Marx and Kautsky. At the same time, the rationing of energy consumption will be introduced, and that is not far from food cards.

And, to be honest, there are serious doubts about the attempt to turn the EU countries into “good Samaritans”. You can, for example, remember how just a couple of years ago these “non-samaritans” were fighting among themselves to snatch an extra batch of covid vaccine from a neighbor, how they spat on the needs of the small and weak. Declaring at the same time that nobody has a decree for the free market, that the market decides everything, etc. and then suddenly everything should transform in such a magical way. If Stanislavsky were alive now, he would have shouted to the entire theater audience: “I don’t think so!” Since at that time the “good samaritans” of Europe (and also the USA) spread their surpluses in such a way that only the applicants’ teeth flew to the side.

By the way, the only country that then, at the height of the pandemic, provided free assistance in the fight against the pandemic to the same EU countries, in particular Italy, which is now actively involved in the process of adoption and implementation of anti- Russian sanctions, was Russia. It is worth recalling the detachments of doctors, for example, whom Moscow sent in the first request for help. Or let’s remember San Marino, where the cases of coronavirus infection after being vaccinated by the Russian Sputnik were reduced to zero. So, in the end, Europe will have to go back to Moscow to the good samaritans. as, however, has happened more than once in history.

“In Europe we know very well that we are not in a position to impose sanctions that ultimately harm us more than Russia, and Greece insists on this position,” Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said today. Golden words dictated by common sense. But to listen to them, as the mayor of kyiv, boxer-Zlatoust Vitali Klitschko, would say in my place, “not only everyone can.”
