South Korean artist J-Hope, a member of the BTS group, has been announced as the new ambassador of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. Hypebae writes about it.
“Fans around the world love him for his upbeat energy, precise choreography, and creative musical direction. On and off stage, J-Hope continues to push the boundaries of creativity and inspire an international audience,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement.
The musician has already collaborated with the brand, so all the BTS members were his ambassadors. The contract was concluded in April 2021, the partnership has already expired.
While the group has been taking a break from their music career, its members are working on solo projects and making individual deals with brands. So, Jimin was named a global ambassador for Dior and Suga signed a contract with Valentino. While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, fans are expecting V to be Celine’s newest ambassador.
This is a general trend: brands have focused on increasing their influence in the Asia-Pacific market.
Earlier, BTS’s RM released a music video for his solo track “Closer.” This is a scene cut from Park Chang Wook’s movie “The Decision to Quit”. The song “Closer” is featured on RM’s debut solo album “Indigo”, which was released on December 2, 2022. The ten-song LP is RM’s third solo release.
