Tiffany and company. Jimin, the vocalist of the South Korean group BTS, has been appointed as a new ambassador. The singer’s work with the brand will begin immediately, the first ad campaign for him will launch this spring, but the exact date has not been announced. WWD writes about it.
As an ambassador, Jimin will film campaigns and appear at key brand events. One shot is available to preview of Jimin pairing multiple Lock bracelets. According to Tiffany & Co., the artist “demonstrates a unique approach to wearing jewelry.”
According to Tiffany & Co. Executive Vice President of Products and Communications Alexandra Arnaud, the artist also “embodies the energy, style and sense of modernity that Tiffany & Co.” represents.
Earlier this year, Jimin was named a Dior Ambassador. He has more than 48 million followers on Instagram and he is expected to release his solo album Face on March 24.
Jimin is not the only K-pop artist to become an ambassador for Tiffany & Co. The brand signed Blackpink vocalist Rosé in 2021. She has already appeared in ad campaigns for the Lock and Hardwear collections.
Earlier, the South Korean artist J-Hope, a member of the BTS group, was announced as the new ambassador of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. The musician has already collaborated with the brand, so all the members of BTS were his ambassadors. The contract was concluded in April 2021, the partnership has already expired.
