The Moscow Museum will present the House of Models exhibition, which tells how the concept of clothing design for industrial production developed. The focus is on three key clothing institutes for Moscow and the whole country: Fashion Atelier (1923–1925), Fashion House on Sretenka (1934–1941) and All-Union Fashion House on Kuznetsky Most (1944–2002). The exhibition will bring together sketches and projects for women’s, men’s and children’s clothing collections, publications with patterns and a video chronicle of fashion shows. In addition, the exhibition will feature materials from the artists’ family archives and private collections. Thus, for the first time, paintings by Vladimir Favorsky, evening dresses by Alla Pugacheva, as well as a reconstruction of the famous Rossiya dress, created especially for the exhibition, will be exhibited here.
On the eve of March 8, the writer will read a series of his iconic stories for clients and friends of the Ololol brand.
To understand the idea of the new exhibition of the artist Hold, which will open at the Fine Art Gallery, it is better to quote her herself: “Hands are not just a part of the body, like the nose or the ear. In the new series of paintings, I go further and force the hands to invade the world of the character, breaking its contours. If we assume that the hands give or receive, then they become a kind of channels through which new energy/information is pumped into the hero’s body. This is a tribute to my belief in otherworldly forces and at the same time a practical desire to portray the action so that the image lives. In any case, I would like to leave space for the viewer to speculate about the plot, as I always do.
The founders of the Eggsellent coffee house chain Polina Yurova and Svetlana Mikhaleva will come on tour to the Tagliatella bar in St. Petersburg. So if you’re planning a vacation in the northern capital, don’t forget to try their signature cocktail menu.
