One of the brightest events dedicated to the centenary of the republic was visited by the head of the region, Alexei Tsydenov.
“Each district of the republic has something unique and unrepeatable. And the purpose of this contest is to show the diversity and originality of cultures, as well as the achievements and potential of the social and economic spheres of the municipalities. Definitely everyone should visit the exhibition to fall in love with their homeland again” – said Tsydenov.
The districts compete in three nominations: “Concert Program”, “Presentation Platform” and “Festive Procession”.
“Today is our common holiday! Our beloved Buryatia is celebrating its 100th anniversary. This event is truly historic. All districts have gathered on Sovetov Square. Each district is unique! How much soul, talent and skill are concentrated here. You can see that the people tried and how they cheered their district “, – said the Minister of Culture of Buryatia Soelma Dagaeva.
Twenty presentation yurts, two tents from the Bauntovsky and Severobaikalsky districts and one large tent from the capital of the republic, the city of Ulan-Ude, were placed on Sovetov Square.
Each municipal district presented exhibits on the unique characteristics of the districts, economic potential, tourism opportunities, cultural traditions. Ulan-Ude residents gladly attend anniversary events.
The main event will take place today at the Central Stadium of Ulan-Ude, where the musical and theatrical performance “Buryad ulas – 100 zhel. Buryatia – 100 years” will take place.
