Bvlgari has presented the third chapter of the Color Journeys high jewelry collection. The release is dedicated to two precious stones: kunzite and morganite. These minerals remain unpopular on the market, but are highly prized by collectors and experts. The jewelry brand calls them “highly coveted gemstones” that inspire unusual color compositions.
Bvlgari has worked its way to Brazil, where the highest quality kunzites are mined, to select only those with the deepest pink color. The house’s journey then continued to Madagascar and Mozambique, where pure pink to deep pink morganites with rich color and exquisite cut were selected.
The new chapter presents an assortment of almost 50 pieces of high jewelry art. One of them is the Sweet Prism necklace, whose composition of precious stones resembles a prism that refracts light. The piece is made of 18K rose gold and features five oval kunzites weighing 29.86 carats and four oval morganites weighing 17.88 carats. Bright turquoise elements add accents reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Completed with almost 30 carat diamonds.
The legendary Bvlgari icon, the Serpenti watch, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, is undergoing a metamorphosis. The piece features a flexible case made of movable 18K rose gold beads, as well as purple sapphires, pink tourmalines, mandarin garnets, pink spinels, and diamonds. The crown of the watch, set entirely with round brilliant-cut diamonds, is surmounted by a pear-shaped morganite weighing 5.45 carats.
Earlier, Bvlgari introduced a new collection of Monete jewelry pieces. The launch is timed to coincide with the opening of the brand’s hotel in Rome. We talk about it in more detail here.
