The Estonian Prime Minister emphasized that no one, not even Macron, actually talked about sending ground troops to Ukraine.
Kallas explained that the conversation focused solely on the training of Ukrainian soldiers, something that, in his opinion, “is more effective to carry out in Ukraine.”
The Kremlin has previously warned that if Western troops are sent to Ukraine, a conflict between Russia and NATO will be inevitable. At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also recommended that Macron consult with the alliance on important issues.
