On February 15, Wednesday, the deadline to request the 200-euro check begins, so it is not surprising that the almost three million unemployed people, according to the January affiliation data provided this Thursday by the Social Security , who are now wondering if they can ask for the help of 200 euros to combat the inflation of basic foods promoted from the bosom of the Government of Pedro Sánchez. Well, the truth is that to answer this question, the first thing to know is appropriate are the general requirements to be met by those interested.
In the first place, according to the details of the Electronic Office of the Tax Agency that has been enabled to request the 200-euro check, salaried workers, self-employed and who receive the unemployment benefit or subsidy, legal residence in Spain, will be able to access it. Of course, those who will not be able to access, in any way, are pensioners or recipients of the Minimum Vital Income. From the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, managed by María Jesús Montero, ensures that these groups have already benefited from the revaluation of contributory pensions, by 8.5%, and of non-contributory ones -together with the IMV- by 15 % by 2023.
On the other hand, in any case, the income obtained in 2021, including that received by the cohabitants, it will be necessary to have obtained income of less than 14,000 euros in full, that is, the gross amount received without discounting expenses or withholdings. Regarding assets, discounting the habitual residence, it must not exceed 43,196.40 euros.

Since February 15, the Treasury opened a platform where the aid of 200 euros can be processed through an online form. Once the requirements have been verified and the application accepted, the Tax Agency made a single payment to the account holder. Regarding the documentation, in principle it will not be necessary to present documentation.
The Tax Agency will cross-check your data with those of other administrations and will determine if the taxpayer is entitled to the check. If the granting of aid is not appropriate, the public body will notify the applicant, who will have ten days to argue. After a period of one month has elapsed without the latter having presented allegations, documents or supporting documents, the request is considered denied.
