The text indicates that the new restrictive measures are a response to flagrant and systematic violations of human rights.

The blacklist included “high-ranking officials and employees of Russian investigative agencies, the penitentiary service and the police.” In particular, the head of the Moscow department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, Sergei Moroz, was subject to sanctions.

In addition, restrictive measures were introduced against the head of the department for organizing the execution of sentences not related to the isolation of prisoners from society, Elena Korobkova.

New US sanctions were previously reported affecting more than 30 people and 200 companies, including from Belarus, Moldova, China and South Africa, related to the IT and aviation sector. Also included in the blacklist were the All-Russian “Movement of the First”, “Mosbirzha” and the National Depot of Settlements.
