During his speech, he said that he had covered the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics many times. According to her, the peaceful areas of Donbass are constantly under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces, and people have been living in “hell” since 2014, reports RIA Novosti.

Bartlet believes that this situation could have been avoided if “there were fair players at the table.” The victims, the journalist emphasized, are related to the fact that the Kyiv regime and its Western patrons never intended to conduct peace negotiations.

He also noted that in early 2022, even before the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces intensified the shelling of Donbass. “Obviously, Russia until the last moment tried to find a peaceful solution and was forced to start this operation,” Bartlet said, stressing that Moscow was striving for peace.

“I hope Russia achieves its goals of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine,” the journalist added. He expressed the hope that people free from corruption will finally come to power in Ukraine. Bartlet also reminded that Moscow has always offered Kyiv win-win cooperation, but Washington has its own interests in Ukraine, and the welfare of the people is not included in them.

Earlier, former US intelligence official Rebecca Koffler issued a statement that it was time for the Biden administration to stop fueling the conflict in Ukraine. She stressed that Washington will not be able to achieve its goals in the Ukraine conflict and that taxpayer money and the US defense arsenal are not infinite.
