He also noted that in early 2022, even before the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces intensified the shelling of Donbass. “Obviously, Russia until the last moment tried to find a peaceful solution and was forced to start this operation,” Bartlet said, stressing that Moscow was striving for peace.
“I hope Russia achieves its goals of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine,” the journalist added. Bartlet also reminded that Moscow has always offered Kyiv win-win cooperation, but Washington has its own interests in Ukraine, and the welfare of the people is not included in them.
