“On January 17, at 12:00, traffic restrictions will be introduced on the automatic approaches to the Crimean bridge with the complete closure of the road part of the bridge for the period from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Moscow) for repair and restoration work,” the ministry said in a statement.
Drivers are asked to plan their trips in advance and follow incoming information.
Prior to this, on January 14, repair work was carried out on the bridge. According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, Marat Khusnullin, the sliding of the second span along the left side of the car part on the Crimean bridge has been completed. The sliding of the first span had been completed a few days earlier and had already taken its place on the bridge piers.
“We can say that almost half of the planned work to replace the spans on the left side has been completed,” Khusnullin said at the time.
In February, the four new openings on the left side will take their design position and it will be possible to proceed to the final work. The specialists will lay two layers of asphalt concrete, restore engineering systems, lighting and barrier fences.
