Chanel has announced the date of the presentation of its next Métiers d’Art collection. It will take place on December 3 this year in Hangzhou. At the same time, the fashion house did not specify who will be responsible for creating the collection following the departure of creative director Virginie Viard.
A month before the show, Chanel will hold another show in China. On November 5, the brand will show its cruise collection in Hong Kong.
The last Métiers d’Art exhibition took place in December 2023 in Manchester, UK. As WWD notes, the choice of China is likely due to the brand’s commercial ambitions. Hangzhou is located 200 kilometers south of Shanghai and is one of the top ten cities for luxury goods after Beijing and Shanghai.
We remind you that Ralph Lauren will show his next collection on September 5th. The show will take place in the Hamptons as part of New York Fashion Week.
