Japan ranked second with 20%, followed by Europe – 18%, the United States was fourth – 18%, the fifth country was Korea – 3%. India and Russia each got 1%.
The best performing automaker in China was SAIC with 10 new and upgraded models. Geely Group took second place – eight new products, Great Wall took bronze – six cars.
Toyota established world dominance, launching 11 new models (four crossovers, three sedans, three wagons, and one city car); new items from Toyota, Lexus and Daihatsu were included in the offset. SAIC has launched 10 new models, six of which are SUVs. The General Motors checkout was carried out by 10 new products under the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC brands.
Automakers focus on crossovers and SUVs, accounting for 51% at the end of the year. Then come sedans, minivans, city cars, trucks, hatchbacks, and sports cars.
