The document foresees seven blocks of measures, among them the strengthening of the reproductive health of the inhabitants of the republic, the prevention and reduction of the number of abortions. In addition, the program provides support to young families and students with children; for example, it is about providing an advantage in places in dormitories, or transferring university students who gave birth during the study period to an inexpensive form of education.
In addition, family support at the birth of a child is expected: a monthly allowance, the opening of multifunctional family centers, gifts for newborns and the payment of the republican maternity (family) capital.
It is also noted that conditions in the republic will be improved that will allow women to receive additional professional education during maternity leave. The same is provided for unemployed women with children under 7 years of age.
The program also refers to assistance in improving housing conditions. Thus, families with three or more children will have land for the construction of houses or for agriculture. Young families may receive social assistance for the purchase of housing, and large families with five or more children may be awarded housing under a social rental regime.
As the head of Chuvashia noted, as a result of the measures taken, according to forecasts, the number of births should increase from 8,993 people in 2023 to 9,394 people in 2025.
