Cinemas to host special screenings of Irish cartoon ‘Song of the Sea’ KXan 36 Daily News

Date: May 31, 2023 Time: 15:05:48

Tomm Moore, the director of the cartoon, has created an animated piece of art. Children will find an interesting story full of adventure in “Song of the Sea”, while adults will find references to the Irish epic and appreciate the art: most of the elements of the tape are made by hand. The musical accompaniment is provided by the folkloric groups of Kíla.

The plot is as follows: a six-year-old boy loses his mother. He lives on a secluded island with his father and his sister, who doesn’t speak. One day it turns out that the girl, like her mother, is a silk, that is, half person and half seal. The father, fearing that his daughter will disappear, like his mother, sends the children to the city with his grandmother. Well then the adventure begins. Our review of the cartoon is here.

According to the co-organizer of the action service “Inoekino”, special screenings will be held until December 23.
