So this time, the YuKassa service (a service of the fintech company YuMoney) analyzed: that the number of purchases of goods and services from January 1 to 8 of this year increased by 22% compared to the first days of 2022, and the billing of online platforms increased by 11%.
That is, in these New Year holidays we buy more than in the previous ones. But at the same time, the average purchase receipt decreased by 10% and amounted to 1027 rubles. Therefore, we buy more, but more economically.
– The Russians spent mostly on game items, as well as on educational services and courier services, – said analysts of the YuKassa service.

The item where the check for purchases has risen in price is medicine. We also used doctors more actively than last year. He paid 23% more for medical services. The average bill increased by 18% and reached 5849 rubles.
Master classes, advanced training courses and tutoring services, training and educational content are another item of spending during the last holidays. We paid 2.2 times more services this year compared to 2022.

– On the one hand, spending in the New Year season traditionally increases, – says the expert. – It is always noticeable compared to November. But, on the other hand, despite the tendency to save money, this year the Russians still spent much more than last year. Furthermore, spending is growing not for vitally necessary goods and services, but for gifts and entertainment. Apparently, for many, the year was very difficult, and I want to treat myself on vacation.
