Entrepreneurs who are committed to innovation and sustainability, and are committed to caring for nature and the environment, offer their products in the X-Market space, in the X-Madrid Shopping Center (Alcorcón). The temporary stores of several of the brands that are part of Lanzadera, the small business accelerator promoted by Juan Roig, will be open until January 8.
With this initiative they intend to promote the entrepreneurial culture and favor the visibility of these small emerging companies that have the opportunity to bring their innovative concepts closer to thousands of people. There are original Christmas gifts and the latest trends in fashion, jewelry, ‘lifestyle’ or food for animals.
Sepia, smart clothing
This clothing brand made in Spain has become known because its clothes do not stain, smell or wrinkle. At Sepiia they have developed smart clothing based on technological innovation. They are elastic and breathable garments, so that they are more durable than regular clothing. The 3D structure of the fabric and its subsequent heat setting give the garment the property of not wrinkling and not leaving any sweat marks. Any food stain slides down the garment, even if it is coffee, grease or similar. In addition, these garments that cost less than 100 euros are made with recycled materials, so they can be recycled again later, so they do not leave a mark on the planet.
Timpers, inclusive footwear
In 2018, two friends (Aitor Carratalá and Roberto Mohedano) formed a small shoe company in Valencia. They were given to the members of the Alicante blind football team to try them out and they described them perfectly by touch. From that moment he decided that they would be the ones to design the future shoes. Diego Olivares, blind from birth, joined them and after winning the Social Entrepreneurship contest at the University of Alicante they were chosen by Juan Roig to be part of Lanzadera and they founded Timpers. It is a brand of social reference, since its entire workforce is made up of people with disabilities. They already sell their shoes all over the world, of which the top quality materials and their distinctive elements stand out.

Real food is all the rage and this trend has already reached pets. This start-up company leaves ultra-processed foods aside to offer natural food to dogs and cats. They are mini hamburgers of meat, fish, meaty bone, offal, fruit and vegetables. They can be frozen to make food fresh every day and not spoil. In its elaboration they do not use heavy machinery, but they do it in an artisanal way, one by one. In addition, they do not include additives such as dyes, aromas or preservatives that can modify their appearance or their original smell.
“Every day we receive in our workshop the raw materials with which we prepare our complete menus, fresh ingredients from the human food industry, which means that each and every one of them passes strict quality controls,” they indicate on their website. He only adds 10 natural supplements such as chia seeds, spirulina, ascophyllum nodosum or hemp seeds among others, which provide innumerable benefits. This diet is part of the so-called BARF diet, (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food), based on the intake of raw, fresh and natural foods.

Another Valencian company that is part of Lanzadera is Haaku’s, which has evolved the concept of churreria. Seeing that this sector was quite successful during the pandemic, the two founders imagined these Instagrammable churros. Together with two gastronomic advisors, they developed an original formula to make a churro dough that is cooked in a waffle iron. So you don’t need oil to fry them. Fats are reduced and they are lighter. Plus, they’re covered in sauces, toppings, and ice cream like Oreo and Kinder Bueno.
