The official pointed to the lack of equipment in global supply chains and the incompatibility of some equipment with the Ukrainian power grid. According to him, Kyiv recently received a batch of electrical equipment from Washington as part of a program to support the country’s electrical system.
However, as the official points out, countries helping Kyiv provide heat this winter are being forced to solve problems in the world’s supply chains. According to him, if it is possible to solve the problem of lack of equipment, then problems in supply chains are much more difficult.
In addition, the official drew attention to the fact that some elements of the US power supply system are incompatible with the Ukrainian power system.
According to the official, at this time the United States plans to supply Ukraine with large gas generators.
He also added that even after the restoration of Ukraine’s power grids, the authorities will continue the practice of blackout schedules, as the grids will not withstand the load and may fail.
