Chinese scientists have found a way that will help reduce the unpleasant health consequences of a sedentary lifestyle. After studying the eating, work, and leisure habits of more than 10,000 Americans, researchers came to the following conclusion.

Office workers who sit at a desk for 6 hours or more a day can reduce their risk of premature death by 33 percent by drinking two to three cups of coffee a day.

How does coffee reduce the risk of premature death?

We talk about the benefits of coffee to reduce inflammatory processes and the consequences for blood vessels (also the heart and brain) of a sedentary lifestyle.

– Coffee is a source of antioxidant substances. They neutralize the adverse effects of reactive oxygen species and therefore provide an anti-inflammatory effect,” allergist-immunologist Vladimir Bolibok told KP.RU.

Is it only coffee that helps us live?

In fact, there are antioxidants in tea, orange and grape juices, fatty fish and salmon, for example.

So what’s the secret to a long life with coffee for office workers?

– The secret is that scientists looked at what regular source of antioxidants could be identified among office workers. So it turns out that your favorite black coffee is a regular, daily source of antioxidants, unlike other healthy drinks and foods that people may consume from time to time, says the doctor.

Will instant black coffee help soften the damage caused by sitting for long periods of time?

That’s right, says the expert. There is a subtlety to the preparation of instant coffee. According to modern technology, this coffee is first prepared as we are used to: it is brewed. Then it freezes. And then it is dried from the frozen state. The coffee is then stored in a closed, airtight jar; Oxygen does not penetrate there. This is freeze-dried crystalline coffee.

“That is, the antioxidants that are beneficial to us are preserved there in the same quantity as in freshly brewed coffee,” says Vladimir Bolibok.

Please note: black coffee – espresso, Americano without sugar will have the maximum beneficial effect. Because coffee with milk, cream or syrup, due to its calorie content, should essentially be considered a food, not a drink. Other studies have shown that coffee has a positive effect if a dose of 4 cups a day is not exceeded.

WHAT COFFEE DOES TO US IN 60 MINUTES

10 minutes after the coffee break. Caffeine rules. Blocks substances that make us sleepy.

20 minutes. Blood vessels narrow and blood pressure increases.

45 minutes. The stimulating effect of caffeine is maximum. Heart rate increases along with energy levels.

60 minutes. A diuretic and laxative effect occurs. Then maybe you should hurry to the bathroom.

By the way, the absorption of coffee in people’s bodies occurs in a very different way. And it’s not just about a person’s physical fitness and health. How this aromatic drink will affect us depends largely on our genetic characteristics.

REMEMBER!

Previous studies have shown that spending 6 to 8 hours a day sitting in front of a computer is associated with heart disease and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. If we work in front of the computer, we come home and lie down in front of the TV because we are tired , this lifestyle slows down the metabolism and disrupts the body’s natural ability to control blood sugar levels, causes problems with blood pressure and paves the way to obesity. Don’t forget to take breaks every half hour; just get up, walk a few steps to the printer, bathroom, and hallway. The ideal is to do some simple and feasible exercises: squats, arm movements, etc.
