Bryll has been writing lyrics since the mid-1960s, they were performed by dozens of pop stars of the People’s Republic of Poland, almost all of her Olympus, including Marylya Rodovich and Czeslav Nemen.
Bryl died two weeks after his 89th birthday. This is reported by Polsat, referring to the national writers’ union.
Ernest Brill was born in Warsaw. He graduated from the University of Warsaw and the famous Lodz Film School.
He published his first book of poems in 1958. In 1963-1967 – literary editor of the “Television Theater”, later – of the film studio “Camera”. He was the director of the Polish Theater in the capital. In 1968, he co-founded one of the country’s oldest beat groups, Drumlersi. He starred in the classic 1980s Polish adventure series “Tulapan.”
Since 2012 he has been an employee of the National Film Institute, including the head of its literary department until 2018.
