Shortly before Christmas, the British Askern Clinic “pleased” its patients with unexpected reports of the discovery of late-stage cancer in them.

It later turned out that the diagnoses were wrong and hundreds of clinic clients who received such letters had nothing to worry about.

Who and, most importantly, why sent many letters of the same type with a message about “an aggressive form of cancer with lung metastasis discovered” remains a mystery. The clinic says it is currently conducting its own investigation into the incident.

Askern fully acknowledged his oversight, stating that it was most likely a technical error and not someone’s malicious intent.

In order to somehow smooth out the situation, the clinic administration, along with an apology, sent congratulations with the wishes of a Merry Christmas to patients who received reports of a terrible diagnosis. However, many customers said that after the riots experienced, the holidays are unlikely to be really fun. Also, many patients complained that they could not get to the clinic for a long time. In the medical center, this fact was explained by a large number of calls.
