Consumer confidence leaves behind the falls and rose again in April 5.6 points compared to the previous month, reaching 73 points, due to the fact that expectations have improved and, above all, the better evaluation of consumers compared to the current economic situation.
With the advance in April, consumer confidence returns to rises after the fall in March to 67.4 points, as reported this Friday by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).
The increase in consumer confidence in the fourth month of the year is due to the rise in the current situation indicator by 8 points, to 62.8 points, as well as the more moderate rise in the expectations indicator, which advances 3 points , up to 83.1 points.
The Consumer Confidence Index (ICC) collects monthly the evaluation of the recent evolution and the expectations of Spanish consumers related to the family economy and employment, with the aim of anticipating their consumption decisions. The indicator collects values between 0 and 200, considering that above 100 the perception is positive and below, negative.
