Before their concert in Brazil, the Turetsky Choir managed to visit Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Venezuela, where the performances of the Russian performers were invariably accompanied by full and loud applause. Brasília was no exception.
The team from Russia performed Russian folk songs, classical operas, popular compositions in English, Spanish and Italian and, of course, one of the most iconic songs of Brazil – the Rio de Janeiro anthem, where, by the way, “Turetsky Choir” will give another concert on July 30.
“The purpose of our concerts is to open a window to the world, build bridges of friendship! We really fell in love with Latin America. It’s a great place to live!” -said the founder of the team, Mikhail Turetsky, in his welcome speech.
Next in line are performances in Uruguay and Argentina.
