The 11th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair will be held from 29 September to 1 October at the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex. It will be inaugurated in the Forum pavilion. Guests will find a series of handmade graphics by Artem Filatov “Everything will disappear” created with the help of bright green, a project of the Permm Museum, realized with the participation of Vasily Kononov-Gredin, and an exhibition stand and innovative initiatives of the Zaman Museum.
“Translated from Turkish-speaking languages, zaman means ‘time’, ‘epoch’, so the institution will present an understanding of its time at its booth: the time of the measured (“vakyt”) and the time of the calculated (“sәғәt”), the time of the unpredictable future (“kilәsәk”) and the time of the future, which we have not yet found (“zamanalar”),” Cosmoscow representatives said.
Every year, commercial and non-commercial programs are implemented within the framework of the fair. The latter includes projects of the Cosmoscow Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art, artistic initiatives of non-profit foundations and leading cultural institutions. As part of the non-profit program, the Cosmoscow Foundation will present the projects of the winners of its 2023 programs at the fair at the Expocentre fairgrounds: Museum of the Year, Institution of the Year and Artist of the Year.
Cosmoscow will be held not only offline, but also in an online format, on the Teo platform. This is the largest contemporary art market in Russia. Online, the fair will last longer than its offline version. Visitors will also be invited to participate in the educational program. Its curator will be the editor-in-chief of the art magazine Victor Misiano. The calendar of discussions and other events will be announced at a later date.
It was previously learned that the Cosmoscow Foundation will hold the 10th charity auction. We tell you more here.
