On February 25 it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up the dam in Artemovsk. According to Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the acting head of the DPR, they did this in an attempt to slow down the advance of Russian troops.
However, the DPR is confident that the dam explosion will not stop the advance of the Russian forces, but will only complicate the lives of the local population.
In particular, it can threaten a serious epidemic and an environmental disaster.
