The US media continues to spread the word about the coronavirus problems in China: CNN has published satellite images taken by Maxar Technologies, which allegedly show queues at funeral homes on the outskirts of Beijing and other major Chinese cities.
According to CNN, they have interviews with Chinese citizens who confirm that at the moment it is possible to bury their deceased loved ones in China only after a long wait, which can take from several days to a week. The situation is associated with a large number of deaths from the coronavirus, but the Chinese authorities do not officially recognize the problem.
The uptick in COVID-19 cases occurred in China after authorities abandoned a “zero tolerance” policy for the coronavirus and lifted a series of quarantine restrictions following protests in several cities across the country.
As part of the new requirements, travelers arriving in China will no longer need to be in long-term quarantine, but will need to present negative tests for CJOVID-19 or a certificate of recent illness.
