The Chinese Automobiles portal writes that Chery did not adhere to any specific methodology: a series of tests, typical for a particular organization, was carried out. For example, a full overlap frontal collision was conducted under C-NCAP standards, and a collision with a car with 50% overlap and side impacts was conducted under Euro NCAP methodology. The evaluation of electronic assistants and pedestrian safety have not been evaluated.
In each of the tests, the experts gave Chery Tiggo 9 high marks, which corresponds to the maximum of five stars.
The full debut of Chery Tiggo 9 may take place in April. So far, there are “white dots” in the characteristics of the novelty, for example, it is not known which engine the “nine” will be equipped with. It is supposed to be a 2.0 TGDI with 254 hp. from Tiggo 8. Transmission – “robot” and, possibly, an 8-speed “automatic” of our own design.
Tiggo 9 will be launched in two-row and three-row versions. Sales will begin in the first half of the year. The estimated price is about 200,000 yuan (2.15 million rubles).
