In the first half of the meeting on the site there was an even match. The initial ten minutes ended in favor of “Zenith” with a score of 24:23. However, the teams went to a long break with an even score: 53:53.
The second part of the match passed with CSKA’s advantage. The Moscow club was able to add to the game in defense, gradually breaking away from the opponent. In the third quarter, the army team gained an 8-point lead, and in the final they brought the lead to 20 points – 100:80.
For CSKA, this victory was the 22nd in a row in the first part of the season, and the army team has not yet suffered a single defeat.
As part of the 27 points of the winners thanks to Kasper Weir, Alexei Shved scored a double-double: 24 points and 16 assists. Caleb Homesley scored 20 points for Zenit.
