David Lynch shared with the readers of the French film magazine Cahiers du Cinema his attitude towards Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which was released in August 2019. The article caught the attention of the NME publication.
“Tarantino’s film shows that any event in real life could have happened anyway. It’s a very good revenge movie, made in a very nice style,” the director wrote.
Lynch’s last feature, Inland Empire, was released in 2006. Since then, Lynch has directed only a handful of shorts and the highly anticipated third season of his Twin Peaks series.
Earlier, Variety published information that the American director David Lynch will present his new work at the Cannes Film Festival. According to the publication, the actress Laura Dern participated in it, who acted in the television series Twin Peaks and Big Little Lies. However, some time later, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lynch denied this information.
