“James Earl Jones, the acclaimed actor who starred in Field of Dreams and numerous other films and won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards, died on the morning of September 9 in Dutchess County, New York,” the post said.
The actor’s representatives at Independent Artist Group confirmed the news to Deadline.
As for the films starring Jones, the most famous are Coming to America (1988), The Best of the Best (1989), Conan the Barbarian and Sommersby.
Jones also voiced Mufasa the Lion in the cartoon “The Lion King” and in the second part of this animated film.
In 2012, the actor received an honorary Oscar for his outstanding achievements in cinema.
