According to Alexander Shaprinsky, director of development at Pragmatika, the factory recycling program is currently running at Grant as an alternative to prime car loans, which in one way or another stimulates sales of this model.
“In general, the record demand for Lada Granta is due to the fact that this is the only budget sedan available in all modifications and configurations at any of the brand’s dealerships in Russia. In addition, this model is actively used by corporate customers , including taxi drivers, often in the regions There are simply no alternatives to this car,” the expert notes.
Meanwhile, Lada Granta cars with a 106-hp 16-valve engine have recently gone on sale, which further stimulated demand for the “state employee” VAZ. At the same time, there are not enough cars of this type in stock, since the production of 106-horsepower engines at AvtoVAZ is still limited due to an insufficient number of parts, and they are installed on the flagship Lada Vesta NG as a priority. .
Some dealers did not fail to take advantage of the situation, offering more powerful “Grants” with mandatory “additional bonuses” of 100 thousand rubles or more, as a result of which the cost of the model exceeds a million. Considering that at the end of May, AvtoVAZ will go into early leave due to a disruption in the supply of various components, a shortage of Lada Granta cars for other modifications may also arise.
