British band Depeche Mode have shared a new video for the single “Wagging Tongue”. NME writes about it.
The black and white video was shot by The Sacred Egg, a creative duo led by cameraman Anton Corbijn, who has been collaborating with the team for many years. The video tells the story of a young couple who participated in the ritual. Band members Martin Gore and Dave Gahan also appear.
“Wagging Tongue” appears on the track listing of the band’s fifteenth studio album, Memento Mori, which was released earlier this year. Soon the group will go on tour in support of him – 34 concerts are planned.
Guest artists on the upcoming tour include Cold Cave, Young Fathers, Berlin-based band Hope, former Savages lead singer Jenny Beth and British trip hop group Hælos.
Depeche Mode co-founder Andy Fletcher died last year at the age of 60. The artist’s cause of death is not specified. The incident became known through the team’s social networks.
