According to him, another common threat is fraud with false health claims, writes RIA Novosti.
Attackers create fake mobile apps that purport to help monitor health, track physical activity or keep a food diary, Nemkin said.
These apps can request access to sensitive data, such as medical history or even banking data, under the pretext of acquiring premium features, the agency’s interlocutor explained.
Previously, Anton Nemkin talked about QR code fraud. For example, scammers can replace the QR code and instead of paying for the service, the money will go to the criminals’ account. Or attackers can send fake QR codes and offer to follow a link to supposedly receive a profit or a discount.
