This is reported by TASS with reference to actress Elena Biryukova. As the artist clarified, Litvin “was ill for a long time, for ten years” and has not worked in the theater for the last five years.
Litvin was born in 1962. In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Experimental and Theoretical Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physical Engineering, in 1993 – the directing department of GITIS, Kheifets workshop. In 1991-1992 he was a director and actor at the GESHER Theater in Tel Aviv. Between 1993 and 1996, he was a professor at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts and at the International Institute of Conference Actors, France. He worked as the chief director of the Belgorod State Academic Drama Theater named after Shchepkin. Since 2004, he is a member of the board of directors of the Odessa Russian Drama Theater, since 2005 – a senior professor at the directing department of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts.
Lytvyn is the author of more than two dozen plays. He staged performances at the Theater of the Russian Army, the “Third Directorate” theater, the Mayakovsky Theater, the Stanislavsky Theater, the Mossovet Theater, the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya and others.
