On February 21, actress and dancer Mimika Luka, known for several classical Albanian paintings from the 1960s-1980s, died. According to DITA, Luka died at the age of 85 due to cerebral ischemia.
Luka was born on December 24, 1937 in Gjirokastra. From 1951 to 1962 she performed on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theater as a dancer. Since 1962 she has been an actress at the Teatro del Pueblo, where she has played dozens of roles.
