Moreno passed away at the age of 92, according to the social media accounts of the Chilean Actors Association. The reason is not named.
Sofía Mireya Moreno Aliste was born in 1931. Together with her husband, actor and director Rubén Aranda, she was an active supporter of Salvador Allende: the couple participated in all his campaigns. For which more the artists got into all the “black lists” and were subject to infringement.
In 1963 and 1964, Moreno and her husband traveled to China, where they were personally received by Chairman Mao.
