It is noted that during the time he served on the stage, the actor played more than fifty roles, among which were “kings and holy fools, villagers and secular lions, noblemen and usurers, policemen and artists, spies and doctors, merchants and priests.”
Andrey Leshchenko was born on October 16, 1945 in Shanghai. He spent his childhood and youth in the homeland of his parents, in the village of Rakityanka, near Mednogorsk, Orenburg region. He studied at the Saratov Theater School, where he first appeared on the professional stage. Then he service in the ranks of the Soviet Army, where the connection with theater, music and stage was only strengthened in the song and dance ensemble of the armed forces. After demobilization, he worked in the Saratov, Kuibyshev, Kemerovo, Ordzhonikidze theaters.
The artist’s farewell will take place on January 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the theater. The civil memorial service will begin at 12:00.
