Dior Men Fall Winter 2023

In 1955, Christian Dior hired Yves Saint Laurent, a student at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale fashion school. Two years later, Dior names him as his successor. From 1958 to 1960, Saint Laurent created six collections for the house: it was they that the creative director of the men’s line, Kim Jones, studied when preparing the collection for the fall-winter 2023 season. There were no direct quotes. For example, the Saint Laurent era at Christian Dior is reminiscent of big scoop necks, only now they’re going to puffy vests. Or blazers and jackets dropped in the manner of a neckline: Saint Laurent similarly accentuated the collarbones. Also in the Kim Jones men’s collection there are coats and sweaters with zippers on the sleeves, jackets, as if folded from below, patent leather raincoats and loose shorts with ties at the bottom. From shoes – leather boots, similar to the shoes of gardeners, and rubber boots.
