Jerry Blavat, better known as DJ The Geator With The Heater, has died. Jerry was a prominent television and radio host, music promoter, writer, and record company owner.
The Geator is also famous for promoting roots R&B literally before this music became mainstream.
The legendary artist has died at the age of 82, DJ’s partner Kili Stahl has told the media. The reason is the complications caused by myasthenia gravis, a chronic lesion of the neuromuscular system.
It should be noted that until the last moment, Jerry broadcast his Geator Gold Radio station with weekly late-night rock and roll shows, but was forced to cancel live performances.
