From May 17 to 19, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko will make a working visit to the Republic of Cuba. During the visit, Dmitry Chernyshenko and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, will hold the 20th meeting of the Russian-Cuban Intergovernmental Commission, and will also participate in the plenary session of the Russian-Cuban Business Forum.
In addition, as reported by Dmitry Chernyshenko’s office, the Russian delegation will visit the Antillana de Acero metallurgical plant named after X. Marty, where the solemn opening of the electrical steel foundry will take place. Also on the program is a visit to the University of Havana with an inspection of the classrooms of the department of the AS Pushkin Institute.
The visit will culminate in a meeting with the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel.
During the work trip, it is planned to sign bilateral agreements in the fields of trade, industry, energy, agriculture, construction and education.
