Dr. Martens collaborated with Japanese streetwear label Wacko Maria to create a reinterpretation of the classic 1461 boot that the shoe brand first released in 1961. Highsnobiety writes about it.
The “Leopard” wool oxfords from the collaboration came in two colors: black and white and black and brown. The pair will go on sale on August 4 for $220.
Let’s remember that the iconic 1461 model was rethought by other brands. For example, recently A-Cold-Wall* and Dr. Martens presented their version of the Oxford in black and gray, made of nubuck and making reference to the aesthetics of the British working class.
