Dries van Noten FW 2023 Collection

Intimacy is the word that Dries van Noten describes his new collection. This refers to the close relationship between clothing and its owner. The belt of the coat is painted with gold paint, the draperies peek out from under the men’s suit. The collection is packed with lingerie-inspired pieces: slip dresses embroidered with French lace, sheer tops and raw-edged organza skirts. They were in contrast with velvet and jacquard. The dresses with faded prints look vintage: the designer borrowed some prints from vintage fabrics, and there were also fabrics made on vintage looms from the 1920s in the collection.
