Egyptian photographer Rehab Eldalil received the Incipiens award at the II Premis Mediterranis Albert Camus Incipiens exhibition held in Sao Luis, Menorca this Saturday. Eldalil dedicated the winning project to exploring the notion of belonging and the interconnectedness of people and land through the Bedouin community of St. Catherine in south Sinai, Egypt, in particular with the Jebeleah tribe, who have survived centuries of war, colonialism, drought and pandemics. , and played an important role in the restoration of the lands of the Egyptian Sinai. The photographer graduated from the Department of Photography at Helwan University in Cairo in 2011 and has additional qualifications in the UK and ICP in the USA. During his career, he received many prestigious scholarships and awards.
