Viajes El Corte Inglés (VECI) and Soltour Travel Partners (STP) break their joint venture in a “friendly” way. The rupture of this union has been promoted by the first travel agency in Spain, VECI, which plans to accelerate its own tour operation projects. Despite this, the companies have confirmed that they will continue to work “in close collaboration.”
The group of department stores indicates in a statement that it will make a “more ambitious” bet with the tour operator brands Tourmundial, Club de Vacaciones, Smytravel and Traveltol e-services. With this, it intends to maximize sales, expand the range of products available to its customers and be prepared to compete in the digital market and with future market trends.

Tourmundial is a multi-product digital tour operator that operates in the Spanish-speaking market; Club de Vacaciones is specialized in tourism for people over 60 years of age, and Smytravel is a “B2B” platform for multi-products aimed at vacation destination agencies.
The new Traveltool Partners brand is a distribution channel for the product of the Group’s strategic suppliers (Smytravel, Tourmundial and Club de Vacaciones) aimed at the network of independent agencies in the Spanish, Portuguese and Italian markets.
Integrated under the same umbrella is Traveltool e-services, a purchasing center, with a group of associated agencies that provide a complete portfolio of services, tools and agreements with third-party providers.
