Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, has a similar view. “This is happening again: outrageous negligence by a radicalized district attorney releasing dangerous criminals in an attempt to settle a political score with former President Trump,” the Republican said. McCarthy promised to investigate whether public funds were being used to undermine the democratic system by interfering in elections through politically motivated prosecution, using the relevant committees.
