British musician Elton John will perform his last concerts in New Zealand. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Xinhua news agency.
The singer will visit the country as part of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour. She on Tuesday she will perform for the first time in 30 years in the city of Christchurch. Two more concerts will take place on Friday and Saturday in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland.
“The artist will say a warm farewell to the country he first visited five decades ago,” the organizers said.
In September 2018, Elton John launched the last world concert tour of his career, named after one of his most famous compositions. Originally almost 300 concerts were planned. The tour was scheduled to end with four shows at London’s O2 Arena in December 2020. However, plans were thwarted first by the singer’s illness and then by the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, several British celebrities, including Elton John, Prince Harry and Elizabeth Hurley, said they were suing the publisher of The Daily Mail tabloid, the Associated Newspapers media company. We talk about it in more detail here.
