Events of the All-Russian project “Oncopatrol” will be held in Ulyanovsk – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Recall that the “Oncopatrol” project has been implemented since 2019 on the initiative of the National Center for Medical Research in Radiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia and with the support of the Council of the Russian Federation, the Association of Oncologists. of Russia and the patient “Hello!” For the first time, this socially significant project was carried out in the Ulyanovsk region with the support of Governor Alexey Russkikh in March 2023. It received a great response from both the public and the medical community. That is why the head of the region once again turned to Andrei Kaprin with a new initiative.

“The fight against cancer is one of the most important tasks of the national project “Health”, initiated by the President of Russia. In 2023, 23 leading specialists from the National Medical Research Center in Radiology of the Russian Ministry of Health visited the country. In the region, more than 200 employees of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant were examined and suspected malignant neoplasms were detected in 26 people. “This year, colleagues from the federal center, together with Ulyanovsk oncologists, will examine workers at the Ulyanovsk cartridge plant and Aviastar.” said the acting director. Minister of Health of the Ulyanovsk region Yuri Kelin.

On May 29 and 30, a large team of doctors composed of breast oncologists, gynecological oncologists, urological oncologists, thoracic and abdominal oncologists and sonographers will work in the companies. They will monitor the health not only of the workers, but also of their families. The initiative is timed to coincide with the Year of the Family, declared by the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, in 2024. Educational seminars on the importance of early cancer diagnosis will also be held for work teams.

For primary care doctors and nurses of Ulyanovsk State University, the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital named after Yu.F. Goryachev and in the regional oncological dispensary on May 28 the X multidisciplinary scientific and practical conference of the Oncopatrol project will be held. For the first time in the region, a pilot project on early detection of pancreatic cancer will be presented. Lectures will be given on the early detection of tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, the female reproductive and urinary system, intrathoracic location and the oral cavity. Nurses are invited to a practical seminar on care of ostomy patients. On the same day, for the first time, the educational seminar “7 controls against cancer” will be held for students of Ulyanovsk State University, whose objective is to take care of the health of the whole family.

On May 30, the ceremony of laying the Oncopatrol Alley will take place on the territory of the Ulyanovsk Regional Oncology Dispensary. The planting of new trees is a good tradition of the project, which has already visited 27 regions of the country.

On May 31, in the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk region, with the participation of Governor Alexey Russkikh, Chief Oncologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia Andrey Kaprin, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the region and the territorial treasury of the compulsory medical insurance, Heads of leading companies of the Ulyanovsk region will hold parliamentary hearings on the topic “Formation of cancer warning and combating the threat of cancer in the Russian Federation.”

The results of the project will be summed up on May 31 at the Ulyanovsk Drama Theater named after IA Goncharova at a gala event.
