Let us remember that in Greece there is a difficult situation with forest fires. As a result of the disaster, at least five people died. Among the victims were two pilots, Captain Christos Moulos and Lieutenant Pericles Stefanidis, who participated in extinguishing the fires. His plane crashed.
The strongest fire was recorded on the island of Rhodes, from where more than 30,000 people were evacuated. Many foreign tourists had to interrupt their holidays and immediately return to their countries.
